--What is your character's name, race, class, and primary spec?

Cillaera-Baelgun; Lightforged Draenei; Retribution Paladin

--Please provide your profile link from of the character you're applying on. ... n/Cillaera

--How long have you been playing World of Warcraft? ~2 years

--What is your real life age? 23

--What time zone do you live in? Pacific

--Do you have any other worthwhile 120's? Not really

--Do you predominantly (one or the other) activate spells and abilities using your keyboard/buttons on your mouse or by clicking the spells on the screen? Do you use your mouse or your keyboard (or a combination) to move?
Mouse buttons (razer naga) for abilities, with shift/alt/ctrl modifiers. Turn using rightclick-mouse movements

--What are your keybinds?
Pomegranate (see required screenshot... first action bar is numbers, second action bar is shift-numbers, third on far-right is ctrl-numbers, all number done using mouse buttons)

--What do you think the strengths and weaknesses of your class are?

-Good medium-term burst (~30s for instance; not ~10s burst or other shorter timespans)
-Good AoE, particularly burst AoE (again ~30s) and AoE for large add counts (5+); weaker on things like sustained 2-3 target
-Solid Off-healing via Word of Glory (comes at a dps cost), flash of light; Lay on Hands and Blessing of Sacrifice can save a life
-Blessing of Kings/Blessing of Wisdom provide non-negligible effective healing
-Immunities to cheese mechanics or help others cheese mechanics (bubble, Blessing of Protection)
-handful of other random utility spells (Blessing of Freedom, poison/disease cleanse, Hammer of Justice)

-One dps spec/no backup specs (if ret sucks in a given tier, I suck)
-weak defensives for medium-level repeated damage; if there's one big hit, can immune, but if there's a medium hit every minute, not many options given Shield of Vengeances' long cooldown and immunities' longer cooldowns
-Poor mobility; I consider it second-worst among melee, after death knight, but I don't play any other melee classes, so I could be dumb.
-No real AoE stun (blinding light can be used as a crappy AoE interrupt, but is really a stun that breaks on damage)

--For your main spec, what is your rotation (and/or priority system)? If you're a healer, please explain what heals you use in what situations.

For retribution, a priority system:
If Inquisition is down or <5s left, recast, with 3 Holy Power (HP) if possible
Light's Judgement (racial) if off cooldown and wings off cooldown or more than ~30s away, and no adds coming in ~30s (varies by fight...)
Avenging Wrath, if mechanics permit; 25s or more left on inquisition strongly preferred, refresh inquisition beforehand if necessary
If HP = 5, Templar's Verdict (ST or 2target with judgement debuff up) or Divine Storm (AoE or 2target with no judgement debuff)
Wake of Ashes on cooldown, if HP = 0 or HP = 1 and Blade on cooldown; can save ~5s to cast right after wings
When HP =<3, Blade of Justice
If HP=<4, judgement
If HP=<4, Hammer of Wrath, if talented
If HP>=3, Templar's Verdict (ST or 2target with judgement debuff up) or Divine Storm (AoE or 2target with no judgement debuff)
Crusader Strike

This is somewhat simplified, I mostly use the APL off simcraft, which has a couple more nuances/exceptions which I won't type out here.

--What is the level of your Heart of Azeroth neck?

39 (40 by tomorrow)

--Describe your experience and ability with each of your specs.
Retribution: Raided heroic Uldir for a full tier. Moderate Mythic Plus experience (10-12 keys season 1). Know the rotations and priorities for a variety of talent combos, for all necessary situations (Burst or sustain, single-target or multi-target, frequent movement/mechanic interruptions or tank n' spank, etc). Sim frequently.
Protection: Significant mythic plus experience (15-16 keys season 1). Raided heroic BoD (just 8/9) for a couple weeks. Comfortable talenting/gearing for fights based on specific damage patterns and types (physical vs magic, dots vs large single hits), and dps requirements; sim to increase dps when survival isn't an issue.
Holy: A handful of heroic Uldir fights, and a handful of 9-11 keys season 1. Know the spec for raids and dungeons, know rotation theory but a bit short on practice implementing it. Use "the spreadsheet," an extensive calculation tool developed by theorycrafters on paladin discord, given simming (hps) for healing specs isn't an option. Use Aura of Devotion, not Aura of Mercy, because I'm not a parsehole.
--Please provide an up-to-date picture of your UI (from a non-terrible site) here. List your hotkeys if they aren't easily viewable or a mod is preventing them from being viewed.

Abilities in use for a given encounter are on keybound actionbar slots, others are not; for instance I move taunt off keybound bars when not needed during an encounter.

--What add-ons do you use? Please name the ones that are of particular interest to your class or raiding.

Details (damage meter)
DBM (I turn warnings off and use timers only)
Weakauras (for specific fights where they can be helpful; ex. mythic vectis, a weakaura assigned plague transfers)

No class/spec specific addons used; prefer to know rotation/priorities and know the fight-specific exceptions over having a rotation-helper addon that does not know the exceptions (i.e. don't use powerful CDs on cooldown if boss is about to go invulnerable for 30s, etc).

--Do you regularly investigate the details of your class and spec outside the game? If yes, what sites do you use and what do they offer you? If no, why do you not try to find out all the information you can about your class?

Yes. Mostly "Hammer of Wrath" discord, for all specs (can see theorycrafters arguing and explaining, rather than just some single individual handing down "divine wisdom" without explanation as to why something's better; helps me to adjust talents/gear to different fights). Keep up with patch notes as well, to see important changes.

--The only thing the raid leader should have to explain to an applicant is the actual guild's strategy on a certain boss fight. With that said, will you come to a progression raid having already watched videos on every boss fight you will be encountering and read any available information relevant to encounters?

--Will you come to raids with full consumables and the best gems/enchants you can get?

Currently have +27 ring enchants, as I don't have a raid. Will upgrade to +37 if I find a raid spot.

Raiding Experience in World of Warcraft (At content level)

Aneirra-Nazgrel; holy priest
3/11M NH
6/9M ToS
9/11M ABT
Cillaera-Baelgun; Paladin
8/8H Uldir* (Retribution)
8/9H BoD (Protection)

*Carried through 3/8M Uldir by BoD guild, shortly before BoD. No actual mythic experience.

--Please post a link to a recent Warcraftlogs report. This is a must-have.

See Uldir for retribution logs.

--What guilds have you been in (name and server) and why did you leave (or plan on leaving)?

Shadowmasters-Nazgrel; left for lack of progression (my first raiding guild, but outgrew them; still on friendly terms)
Nobility-Kel'Thuzad; Lack of progression, and odd alt issues (Near end of ABT, guild was cutting it very close on CE, probably weren't going to get it but still some chance. I wanted to push. Half the guild did not want to push for it, because they already had it from other guilds. I did not know why the guild existed if half the membership did their serious raiding elsewhere, so I left.)
Less Gabbin Nome Stabbin; some friends from Shadowmasters, but at a more convenient time. Just raided Heroic Uldir with them, as I was unable to find a mythic guild going into Uldir. Promised I'd stay a tier and not longer, and I did.
Fresh-Baelgun; Guild collapsed within a couple weeks of my joining; did minimal BoD progression (8/9H).

--Why did you initially choose your character/class? What do you like most about it?

Wanted a class that could play all three specs (dps, heals, tank). Liked holy paladin the most between mistweaver/hpally/restodruid, liked brewmaster and prot pally similarly and hated bear, preferred ret to windwalker, and not going to lie, strongly preferred paladin transmog over monk/druid.

--Are you receptive to criticism?

Yes. As long as no voices are raised and no insults are used, can be as harsh as needed (your dps is insufficient, you keep getting caught out by this mechanic and we'll need to bench you, etc). Criticism is fine; suggestions for improvement by someone who knows the relevant paladin spec well are fine; may get mildly annoyed by suggestions for improvement by someone who doesn't know the class, for example suggesting Holy Paladin should switch to Aura of Mercy because that's what all the top parses use.
